A stampede of students at Capricorn College in Pietersburg led to the injury of six people who had to be admitted to the local hospital. The police were deployed to control the situation. Two people were also seriously injured when a vehicle hit them. However, the vehicle drove off from the scene.

It follows after the call from the EFF that students must arrive at universities to register. However, it appears that Julius Malema, who is responsible for this matter, is not going to be prosecuted.

Meanwhile, the college announced that registration of students will continue next week and that the process will be moved to the local stadium because there is more space.
