One of the two suspects aged 26 is the elder sister of the 21 year old Mphophi Nemugumoni (both daughters of the deceased) and the other aged 24 is the elder brother of the 19 year old Calvin Tshisudi. The Tshisudi brothers are known to be notorious criminals and are likely to be connected to other crimes in the area.

The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has once again commended the members for their relentless pursuit of the suspects responsible for this cold blooded murder. The swiftness in which this case was cracked should be emulated by all members, concluded General Ledwaba.
