Second child murderer arrested in Limpopo

Update on the murder of the two children at Thokgwaneng Village outside Lebowakgomo; the second suspect was arrested over the past weekend and he joined the first suspect Chuene Lucas Madimetsa in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Monday 12 December 2016 on two counts of murder.

Chuene Lucas Madimetja was remanded in custody until 26 January 2017 with no bail for further Police investigations.

The second suspect, Daniel Makibane Mamabolo aged 37 was also remanded in custody until the 19 December 2016 pending further Police investigations.

It is alleged that two children aged 07 and 10 years went missing on 28 November 2016 after they were last seen playing along the street at about 16:00 at this Thokgwaneng Village.

An intensive search was conducted by various Police Units immediately after the matter was reported to the Police with no success.
Their bodies were found by a passerby who then reported the discovery to the Police. Police reacted swiftly and the two children’s bodies were found with multiple head injuries.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
