The Police in Lebowakgomo have launched an extensive search for armed suspects who committed a business robbery at Sasko Bakery in Lebowakgomo on Saturday, 08 July at about 15:15.

It is reported that the robbers started by firing shots randomly in the yard before they stormed into the premises where they found a female cashier inside an office.

The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of money which they put inside a cardboard box.

The suspects also exchange gunfire with the cash-in-transit Security Guards who arrived to collect money.

This after the third suspect who was waiting outside the yard and hiding inside the vehicle opened fire on the Security guards who were not aware of the robbery.

The suspect abandoned the vehicle and ran on foot when the Security Guards fired back while two other suspects also managed to escape.

Police were called and on arrival they started with an initial investigation.

They found that the suspects dropped the box that was used to conceal the stolen money but the money was missing.

In addition, one cellphone was found inside the getaway Nissan NP 200 motor vehicle which will also form part of the investigation as well as the motor vehicle.
