The South African Police Service at Ritavi are investigating two robberies with a firearm that occurred at separate locations on Saturday, 27 January 2024.

It is reported that on Saturday 27 January 2024 about 05:30, a 49-year-old victim was walking to his workplace when a maroon Nissan Sentra vehicle without registration number plates stopped next to him at Dan village next to Hosanna cemetery.

Two suspects alighted from the motor vehicle and one of them pointed him with a firearm.

The victim was searched, robbed of a cellphone with a wallet containing valuable items and was immediately taken and they fled the scene without firing any shots.

Another robbery took place at Nkowankowa location along Bankuna road next to Teba village at about 05:15.

A 46-year-old male victim from Dan Extension 2 was reportedly walking along Bankuna road in Teba village when a dark blue Toyota Corolla motor without registration number plate stopped next to him.

Two suspects alighted the motor vehicle one armed with a firearm and the victim was instructed to lay down on the floor.

The suspects robbed him of a school bag, satellite dish sensor, 14 spanner, and cellphone valued at R2000-00.
