Provincial Organised Crime Unit continues to fight the drug trade, one suspect busted in Polokwane

The members of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit arrested another suspected drug dealer in Polokwane, during the recent Disruptive Operation conducted on Monday, 04 September 2023.

The 29-year-old male suspect, Robert Letsoalo, briefly appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 05 September, on a charge of possession of illicit drugs and his case was postponed until Friday 08 September 2023, for formal bail application and further Police’ investigations.

The suspect was arrested at City Centre Taxi rank following a tip-off. The operatives pounced on the suspect who was caught in the act of selling drugs. He was searched and found in possession of Heroin drugs with the estimated street value of R5000-00.

“The arrest of drug dealers in the Province is a testament to the relentless efforts of the men and women in blue to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.

We would also like to thank the members of the public who continue to provide valuable information and support throughout these operations,” Concluded LImpopo Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.

The Police investigation continues.
