It is alleged that in the Letsitele Policing area outside Tzaneen, a woman aged 34 was praying inside a church in the early hours of Saturday, 13 April 2019, when an unknown man with covered face attacked her with a sharp object. The suspect dragged the woman outside the church to a nearby village of Nwamitoa, tied her up and raped her.
He then fled the scene with the victim’s cell phone.
