The South African Police Service in Polokwane are investigating a business robbery case that occurred on Sunday, 10 December 2023 at Supabets Gambling Centre at about 06:45.

According to police report, a 70-year-old victim opened the doors of the business at corner Bok and Excelsior streets.

Unexpectedly, five men wearing masks entered the shop in possession of firearms and took the victim to his office.

The suspects demanded the keys of the safe while assaulting him and they managed to obtain it from his vehicle that was parked at the back of the premises.

The suspects managed to open the safe and took a substantial amount of cash including the victim’s cellphone valued at R3,000-00.

The five suspects eventually fled the scene with an unknown motor vehicle.
