A joint police operation, conducted in Limpopo comprising of various police units joined by Kwamhlanga police in Mpumalanga, has made significant strides in the investigation of suspects responsible for ATM blasts in Dennilton policing precinct.
During ongoing operations, this team of members successfully recovered a firearm, ammunition and a stolen motor vehicle linked to the perpetrators involved in these criminal activities.
This after the operatives were able to find information about the whereabouts of one of the suspects’ in Machipe village in Dennilton. Upon arrival at his house, they found that the suspect had already fled the scene but they were able to recover one firearm with a serial number filled off loaded with four live rounds of ammunition, two other live rounds of ammunition were also discovered on the dressing table together with one spent rifle cartridge.
Police continued with the search and discovered a Toyota Hilux club cab which was circulated and information indicated that it was stolen in Taung, North West last month (February).
The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, lauded the collaborative efforts and said the recoveries are a clear indication of the commitment by police to apprehend those responsible for these heinous acts and bringing them to justice.
While these developments mark progress in police investigation, the manhunt for the suspects remains active and intensive.
