Police nab a suspect for exhuming his late mother’s body

The Police in Lebowakgomo outside Polokwane have arrested a 21 year old man for grave violation which occurred at Dithabaneng village in Ga-Mphahlele area.

It is alleged that the suspect went to the local cemetery during December 2017 where he exhumed his mother’s body from her grave.

On 5 March 2018, members of the community noticed him moving around the village carrying a human skull and immediately summoned the Police.

Upon receiving this report, the Police reacted swiftly and on arrival, they found a full human skeletal remains in the suspect’s house and arrested him.

The preliminary Police investigations have also led to the recovery of skeletal Cattle remains in the same house.

The real motive behind this incident is still not clear at this stage but the Police investigations will tell as they are still unfolding.

The suspect will appear before Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court soon on a charge of grave violation.

The Police investigations are still continuing.
