The Police in Nebo have through intelligence driven operation arrested a 40-year-old male suspect for unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition. The police effected an arrest on Thursday, 02 November 2023.
The Provincial Tracking Team operationalized intelligence which resulted in the arrest of the long wanted suspect for a series of robberies at Nebo after he was found driving in a white Ford Bantam motor vehicle heading to a liquor store.
Upon searching the suspect, the police found in his possession a prohibited firearm and nine live rounds of ammunition. It is believed that the arrested suspect is the leader of a gang that is reported to have been terrorizing the foreign national business owners within Nebo policing area.
The Police are hard on the heels of the rest of the members of the gang believed to be accomplices to the arrested suspect in a series of crimes committed in Nebo policing precinct.
The arrested suspect is expected to appear before Nebo Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 06 November 2023
