Pakistani men severely assault shoppers – Limpopo
Cause of death unknown – Bela-Bela Couple found dead

Limpopo, Giyani:

On Tuesday, 22 June 2016, three men went to a store with a false receipt and attempted to collect groceries. They were severely assaulted by five Pakistani men. One man died on the scene and another in hospital. The third one is recovering.

Members of the community protested but were dispersed by the Police.

Last night one shop was burnt and the windows of another damaged.

Currently the situation is calm with no further protest action or violence taking place.

The five suspects were arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder and are appearing in court today.

The situation is being monitored by Vispol and POP members.
