The South African Police Service at Northam in Waterberg District have activated a massive manhunt for unknown suspects who allegedly committed a house robbery and murder at Mokgalo, Mojuteng location on Saturday, 17 June 2023.

Reportedly, a 37-year-old victim was seen departing from a local tavern with an unknown woman while driving a Black Mini Cooper motor vehicle and went to his rental residence.

The family of the victim became restless when they tried to reach him on his cellphone however, without success as they have reached his voicemail.

On Sunday, 18 June 2023 at about 14:00, the family of the victim decided to visit and check on him at his rental residence and they found his room not locked. Upon entering the residence, the victim was found lying dead on his bed while bleeding through the nose.

Upon further investigation it was discovered that the victim’s motor vehicle and two cell phones were stolen.

A post mortem is still to be conducted to determine the cause of his death.
