

Law enforcement officials have successfully apprehended four male suspects, aged 20 to 30, in connection with a string of robberies across the Musina policing area, following a coordinated intelligence-led operation.
The arrests took place on Tuesday, 02 June 2026, beginning at approximately 09:30 in Matswale Phase 06. Police acted on verified information linking the suspects to robberies reported at Sidiba Truck Park and Nancefield location on Monday, 01 June 2026.
First Arrest and Vehicle Seizure
At a rental residence in Matswale Phase 06, officers detained a 30-year-old male suspect. Authorities also impounded a black Citi Golf motor vehicle believed to have been used during the robberies. During the search, police recovered 14 boxes of flavoured powdered drink, valued at R5,040.00, along with keys to a black Mercedes-Benz truck. The suspect faces a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.
Firearm Recovery in Phase 02
The operation continued in Matswale Phase 02, where two additional suspects—aged 20 and 21—were stopped while carrying a black Nike side bag. A search of the bag uncovered an unlicensed firearm. Both individuals were arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Fourth Suspect Detached
A fourth suspect, a 25-year-old male, was taken into custody at his residence in Matswale Extension 09. He is also facing charges related to robbery with a firearm.
Recovery Summary and Court Appearance
In total, recovered goods from the operation are valued at approximately R65,040.00. All four suspects are scheduled to make their first appearance in the Musina Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 04 June 2026.
Police confirm that investigations remain active as authorities continue to build the case against the suspects.
