Police have launched a manhunt for unknown suspects in connection with a business robbery at a clothing store located in a shopping complex on Saturday, 16 May 2026, at approximately 10:30.
According to police reports, a 49-year-old female supervisor and a colleague were signing daily transaction reports inside the store when an unknown male entered, pretending to open an account. He was soon joined by two other unknown males, who allegedly told the employees, “they are here to work.”
The suspects instructed the complainant to open the safe and ordered her to remove cellphones and place them into bags. They then forced her to open another locker, from which they stole laptops, tablets, cables, smart watches, clothing items, power banks, and cash.
The total estimated value of the stolen property is several thousand rand. The suspects fled the scene. No arrests have been made.
