The police in Lephalale have launched a manhunt for the suspect responsible for the murder of a TVET College student whose body was found in the yard of a certain house at Onverwacht, Lephalale on 10 February 2020, at about 09:00.

The owner of the said house, who is said to be the sister of the deceased’s boyfriend, reported the discovery to the police and on arrival, they found the deceased lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.

The deceased was identified as Tshidi Mocheko (27) of Onverwacht and was a student at Lephalale TVET College.

The police are calling on Lesiba Zachariah Moabi (36), to avail himself at Lephalale police station or any nearest police station to assist in the investigation of this case.

Anyone with information about this gruesome incident or who knows the whereabouts of Zachariah Moabi, is requested to contact Captain Hlungwane at 082 565 7968 or the Crime Stop number 08600 10111.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has already assembled a team of investigators to hunt down the killer(s).

A case of murder has been opened and police investigations are continuing.
