Manhunt launched for lion killers

The Police in Tzaneen have launched a manhunt for the suspects involved in the illegal hunting of protected species (lions).

It is alleged that an unknown number of suspects have cut the fence open and entered the lion cave at Letaba River Lodge outside Tzaneen where they killed three male lions in the early hours of January 11, 2017.

The male lions’ heads and paws were removed.

Police investigations are continuing.
