The South African Police Service in Mokopane (Potgietersrus) has launched a manhunt following the escape of a 40-year-old suspect from the Police holding cells.
It is alleged that the suspect, Owen Alexander who was arrested for a number of burglary charges had escaped soon after he appeared before the Mokopane Regional Court.
The Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
The search operation was activated comprising of members of the Police from various Units including the Police Air wing with no success.
Members of the community are requested to assist the police with any valuable information that can assist to apprehend the suspect as depicted in the attached photo.
The Police investigations and manhunt are still underway.
