On Wednesday, 14 June 2017, late last night, Oki and Debbie Turner were attacked their farm near Cheerio Gardens in the Magoebaskloof area outside Tzaneen.
Two armed suspects shot and assaulted Oki. The suspects also assaulted Debbie.
The suspects fled with some firearms.
Once the community security and police were alerted and responded, both Oki and Debbie were transferred to hospital. However, Oki has since passed away, and Debbie remains in hospital where she is receiving medical treatment.
A large scale search for the suspects began in earnest by both the community and police.
An investigation is underway.
