The Police Minister, General Bheki Cele, joined by Deputy Minister Mr Cassel Mathale, the National Commissioner of the SAPS General Kehla Sitole, Deputy National Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mfazi, MEC of Transport and Community Safety Mrs Mavhungu Lerule Ramakhanya, Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba, have on Friday, 3 April 2020, visited the COVID-19 Operations in the Limpopo Province to assess the adherence to the Regulations.

General Khehla Sitole welcomed everyone including the Minister. He said, as we are prepared to die serving the nation, let’s keep on the adherence of the safety precautions so that we don’t die but we live for the country.

General Bheki Cele, addressed the paraded law enforcement officers. The Minister said the Police must shut down the shebeens by next week and nobody should be allowed on the road. The members must not look around while on duty, they must apply their responsibilities to protect the Nation. He advised the Police to respect the community and the community must also respect the police, there should be a balance for the betterment of our country.

The operation visit is still underway.
