Holidaymakers traveling on the roads must be aware that traffic officials seem to be working on their own Christmas bonus by receiving bribes.
Although the problem occurs nationwide, it seems that Limpopo’s traffic officials are particularly guilty of it. So far 13 traffic officials have already been arrested for corruption and bribery while they were on duty.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation and the Hawks have worked together to catch the offenders. In most cases, they accepted bribes instead of providing motorists with safety.
