The Police in Haenertzburg outside Tzaneen have launched a manhunt for a group of suspects who attacked an elderly couple on their farm in this area. It is alleged that on 14 June 2017 about 23:00 an unknown number of suspects broke into the elderly couple’s home at Cherio Farm and attacked the elderly couple (both in their sixties).
The elderly couple were assaulted and robbed of their firearms before the suspects fled the scene. The two victims sustained serious injuries and they were taken to hospital where the 67-year-old man died.
The suspects are still unknown and there is no arrest and police investigations are continuing.
