Sustainable solutions must be found to prevent hospitals from being stranded without water and power.

Pointing the finger at the impact of Eskom’s load shedding exemplifies the Department’s indifference towards the consequences of mismanagement.
Hospitals are run into the ground to the detriment of patients.
The Department of Health must seriously reconsider its priorities.
A lot of money is earmarked and spent on, among other things, digitising patient files, but it is doubtful whether it is an improvement on the old manual system.
At the moment, digitising patient files should not be a priority. Ensuring reliable water and power supply is much more important.
