Limpopo doctor missing, law student girlfriend found dead
Elderly farmer and wife overpowered and assaulted by criminals

The Police are looking for a doctor, who went missing after his 25-year-old law student girlfriend was found dead at his house in the hospital complex – she had been stabbed to death.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoape on Saturday said the doctor, whose name is known to the police, works at Tshilidzini Hospital in Shayandima, Thohoyandou, where he has official residence.

Ngoape said preliminary investigations indicated that the missing doctor and the deceased “were lovers”.

“She was last seen on Monday this week … last night her lifeless body was found with multiple stab wounds,” said Ngoape.

The student from the University of Venda in Thohoyandou was found dead on Friday night.

The motive for the murder has not yet been established, but police said investigations were continuing.
