Kidnapper and rapist of 9 year-old girl arrested
Five suspects arrested after gruesome farm attack

A Limpopo Intelligence-led joint operations composed of Crime Intelligence, FCS and crime prevention members, were conducted last night in both Bolobedu outside Tzaneen and Lebowakgomo outside Polokwane Policing areas respectively and resulted in arrests of 4 rape suspects in connection with separate incidents.

In the first success, a 42-year old man from Gandlanani ( Khani) village outside Giyani who was on the run for some months was arrested at his home for kidnapping a 9 years old girl at Ga-Mamaila village in the Bolobedu two months ago.

He is facing kidnapping and rape charges.

It is alleged that the suspect kidnapped the 9-year old child along the street of Mamaila village and took her through the bushes to Mapuve village outside Giyani. In the process, he requested accommodation at a certain family alleging that the victim is his child and he had a motor vehicle bream-down along the road.

During the night ,he raped the victim and the following day , he ran away leaving the child behind and the family called the Police.

During the arrest ,he was found in possession of dagga weighing 09,49 grams with the street value of R 3322.00.

Preliminary investigations found that the suspect is connected to a number of crime incidents as follows: Sebayeng rape, Giyani rape and Letsitele theft of motor vehicle.

Meanwhile at Lebowakgomo, 3 suspects aged 21, 22 and 29 were arrested for Rape and robbery . It is alleged that a 21-year old woman was busy jogging in the early hours an August day 2016 along the road when 3 suspects attacked her, threatened her with a knife, drugged her to the nearby bushes and raped her and also robbed her of her cellphone and disappeared.

All this suspects will appear before Bolobedu and Lebowakgomo Magistrate courts and later at Giyani, Mankweng and Nkoankoa Magistrate Courts for respective cases above. Police Investigations continues.
