Following the intensive police investigations including the autopsy and forensic, the two deceased who were found burnt inside the car beyond recognition, were positively identified as follows: Elekanyani Mahwasane aged 30 from Kubvi village near Thohoyandou and Dakalo Alfheli Mudau aged 30 from Tshitereke village near Thohoyandou

The body of an unknown man with multiple gunshot wounds which was discovered some meters away from this burnt bodies, was also positively identified as Magezi George Baloyi aged 41 from Nghezimani location near Thohoyandou.

The Provincial Joint Task Team is still on a massive manhunt for the suspects involved in this brutal killing during an incident which occurred in the early hours of 12 March 2018.

It is alleged that a man and woman in their thirties were kidnapped by unknown suspects while driving a Toyota Tazz near Makonde village outside Thohoyandou.

Afterwards, the s loaded them inside the boot of their vehicle and drove away to a secluded area near Matiyani village along the Punda Maria road in the Saselamani Policing area outside Malamulele. They were fatally shot, their bodies set alight inside the vehicle and were found burnt beyond recognition.

The body of an unknown man with multiple gunshot wounds was also discovered some meters away from this scene. The motive behind this incident is still unknown but the Police investigations will reveal. The suspects in this matter are still unknown and there is no arrest.
