The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation has launched an extensive manhunt for a suspect following the brutal killing of Warrant Officer Thinandavha Stanley Mudau (52) on Sunday 15 March 2020.

The deceased who was at Thohoyandou-Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offenses (FCS) unit allegedly found a female rape victim (17) at the office. The victim who is a foreign national allegedly informed him that she was raped by her relative who is also a foreign national.

It is further reported that Mudau took the victim to the police station so that she can open a case but along the way decided to via the suspect’s place. Upon arrival at the suspect’s place, it is reported that Mudau was abruptly attacked by the suspect with a panga (Machete) killing him instantly.

The rape victim was also attacked and she is currently being treated in hospital.
