The Police in Polokwane have so far arrested five suspects aged between 15 and 16 following the brutal murder of a 27 year old man. The incident took place on Saturday evening, 23 February 2019 in Flora Park suburb.
The victim was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday 24 February 2019. The police were summoned and started with the initial investigations which led to the arrests.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was assaulted by a group of people in the area. More arrests are expected.
The motive behind this incident is not clear at this stage as police investigations are still underway, but gangsterism may not be ruled out.
