The five suspects aged between 24 and 40 arrested in connection with a business robbery incident that occurred in a Jewellery Store in Polokwane Savanna Mall on 12 May 2023 were remanded in custody when they appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 14 September 2023.
Their cases are remanded to 03 October 2023 for further police’ investigations and possible bail application.
The suspects namely; Asanda Mhlongo(23), Sifundo Chiya (28), Mduduzi Zulu (30), Lindokuhle Sikhosana (33) and Goodwill Ngcobo (40) were arrested in KwaZulu-Natal Province in Hilton Pietermaritzburg policing area on 19 May 2023, by members of SAPS Limpopo Tracking Team, Limpopo Murder and Robbery, Pietermaritzburg Highway Patrol and two Private Security team members.
During the arrest, Police recovered some of the stolen items and a get-away vehicle grey Toyota Corolla sedan. The suspects allegedly robbed jewellery worth millions before fleeing the scene. Police investigation continues.
