The murder of Mr. Schalk Pienaar, a well-known local businessman, attorney and former Member of Parliament, is absolutely shocking.
Mr. Pienaar was attacked and shot dead in his home. The motive for the murder remains unknown.
‘The incident took place within a block from my own home while I was busy working.
I received numerous messages from concerned residents who said there were many police officers in the area and wanted to know what was going on.
Sometime later, security guards approached me and asked for the footage recorded by my CCTV camera.
Mr. Pienaar and I had been friends for many years, and I want to express my deep shock and sympathy to his next of kin on behalf of the FF Plus.’
