Heritage protection group, Modimolle (Nylstroom) SAPS, WASPS and Modimolle CPF responded to information regarding housebreaking in the Elandsfontein and Modimolle area where farmhouses homes were being completely stripped on farms. Including the roofs, stoves, furniture, tools etc.
A vehicle was recovered and one suspect has been arrested. Follow up operations and tracing of the other suspects continued through the night and a second suspect was arrested.
The area has recently been the target of a number of housebreakings. At the scene several other items were found hidden and ready for collection.
