Farmer attacked, robbed of wages, firearm and bakkie at farm gate, Hoedspruit

A farm attack took place on the morning of 4 October 2020, on the Drakensig game farm in Hoedspruit, in the Limpopo province of South Africa. A farmer had returned from drawing wages to pay his workers on the farm when he was attacked as he stopped at the farm gate. The farmer was dragged onto the farm, beaten, tied up and robbed of his firearm, the wages, his bakkie and his phone. The man was not prepared as his firearm was behind the seat and not in his hands when he stopped.

Three attackers driving a black or dark grey BMW with registration number HT23HX GP stopped simultaneously at the gate, overpowered the farmer and assaulted him.

The farmer was left tied up and after some time he managed to free his legs and make his way back to the road where he received assistance.

All role players responded but there have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
