A man suspected to be involved in the farm murder of an elderly farmer, Hannes Prinsloo (84), more than 11 years ago on his farm at Settlers, in the Limpopo province of South Africa, was arrested residence in Stoffelpark, Mamelodi, on Tuesday evening 25 August, 2020.

The attacker, Oscar Mashiloane (42), is suspected to have murdered Mr Prinsloo by strangling him with a tie and stealing cash and cellphones. Mashiloane’s fingerprints were found at the scene.

A private group called Bosveld Misdaad Ondersoeke (BMO) worked with the Bela Bela detectives of SAPS to identify and arrest the suspect.
The suspect appeared in court in Bela Bela on Wednesday 26 August 2020 and will re-appear on Wednesday 2 September 2020.
