The house workers of the farmers wife were lured outside where they were and attacked by nine armed suspects. The male worker was overpowered and the female worker was threatened with a gun against her head to open the house for them. The farmer’s wife was fortunately not at home at the time of the attack.

The attackers tied up the female worker in the lounge and and they then ransacked the home. The house was looted, a safe was opened and cash and TVs along with the workers cell phones were robbed. The farm attackers then fled in the owners vehicle, a Navara, that was found 5 km from the scene, abandoned on a dirt road, on Wednesday morning.

There were five sets of tracks identified. Guns in the safe were just left on the bed and floor in the room. The workers could only alert the neighbors at 01:30 and from there the neighborhood watch, security and police were called.
