A farm attack took place on 31 December, between 23:00 and 00:12 on 1 January 2020, at Percy Fyfe Nature Reserve in Potgietersrus. Fortunately the family was not home, however a worker was attacked, assaulted and tied up. The attackers then ransacked the home.

The safe was broken open and a 303 and .22 firearm were left behind but a shotgun was stolen. Police are investigating and the suspects are being sought. There is no other information available at this stage, nor any details regarding injuries sustained by the worker.
