Mara Police in the Vhembe District have launched a manhunt following a farm attack, attempted murder and a house robbery incident that took place in the early hours of Monday 28 November 2022 at about 01:15 in Goedgedacht farm.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the owner of the farm, Francois Fick, was sleeping with his wife, Kitty, when he experienced numerous gun shots aimed at them from outside of the house.

The farm owner retaliated and an unknown suspect/s managed to flee the scene on foot.

Afterwards, he discovered that his wife was shot on the upper left leg and was immediately rushed to an unknown hospital for medical treatment.

The motive of the incident is unknown at this stage but police investigations are underway.
