Eleven armed suspects attacked and killed a bedbound 67-year-old farmer in Limpopo.
Mr. Herman Botha and his wife Meisie were attacked, and his son Bernard was also severely assaulted. Mr. Herman Botha died during the attack.
Mr. Botha was in bed after he had been recovering from an operation. However, the suspects waited for the other family members to return from church.
Three suspects were arrested shortly after that while the search continues for the other suspects. It has now come to light that one of Mr. Botha’s workers was the informant.
The farmer’s vehicle was found abandoned while a second vehicle and firearms were also found.
The origin of the second vehicle is unknown.
