The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety is intensifying its efforts to combat drinking and driving this Christmas Day.
With 181 motorists already arrested for drunk driving since the beginning of December, the Department urges all road users to exercise extreme caution and responsibility.
We are continuing with our zero-tolerance approach to drinking and driving, by increasing the visibility of law enforcement officers on the roads, conducting regular roadblocks, and arresting anyone found driving under the influence of alcohol.
If you are planning to drink today, please plan ahead, designate sober drivers, use public transport, or just stay where you are until you sober up. Stay safe, and let’s work together towards Every Day Without A Road Death #ProjectEDWARD
