An intelligence driven operation led by Makhado Cluster Commander, Brigadier Eddie van der Walt led to the discovery of a dagga plantation.
It is alleged that a 25 year old suspect believed to be from the North West Province was nabbed this morning in a shack that was erected on top of a mountain and surrounded by a dagga plantation in Waterval outside Louis Trichardt.
The police uprooted a total of 1159 dagga plants, weighing 70kg with the estimated street value of R250 000.00.
The arrested suspect has been charged with cultivation of Dagga and will appear in Waterval Margistrate’s Court soon.
