Maake Police have launched a manhunt of three unknown armed suspects who allegedly robbed a security officer of his firearm at Mogoboya Clinic in Maake policing area under Mopani District on Saturday night, 06 May 2023.

According to the police report, a 45-year-old security officer was on duty when three unknown males arrived at the clinic, under the pretext that they have brought a patient who consumed poison.

It is further alleged that the security opened the gate for suspects who entered the yard while pointing a firearm at him and instructed him to surrender it.

Afterwards, the suspects fled the scene driving a White Toyota bakkie motor vehicle without registration numbers.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has called upon the community to come forward with information that can help the police in apprehension of the unknown suspects. “Any valuable information provided to the police will be treated with confidentiality and respect” concluded General Hadebe
