Emanating from the preliminary Police investigations conducted since yesterday, one suspect was identified through the CCTV cameras while in action at the Crime scene as per the CCTV footage.

The SAPS special joint operation is still up and running tracing a group of about eight armed suspects who attacked and robbed a security cash car on the 13 November 2017, along Nkowankowa road outside Tzaneen.

It is alleged that on the on 13 November 2017,at about 11:30, this group of armed gang cornered the security cash car immediately after they collected money from the local petrol station.

They fired several shot at the CIT vehicle injuring the driver and subsequently took containers having undisclosed amount of money and four firearms before fleeing the scene with two cars, a white double cab Toyota bakkie with registration numbers CPY 619 L and a Silver Ford Focus with unknown registration numbers.

The suspects in this matter are still unknown and there is no arrest.
