Body of woman found headless and burnt in Limpopo
The decomposed bodies of two children were found tied and blindfolded in Soweto.

Police on Monday discovered the burnt body of a woman under a bridge in Mahwelereng, suspected to be linked to the arrest of two people found in possession of a woman’s head in Polokwane, Limpopo.

Spokeswoman Colonel Ronel Otto said the woman’s identity was not yet known and that investigations were continuing to determine whether the head found on Sunday was hers.

Two men were arrested on Sunday after police found them in possession of a woman’s head wrapped in newspapers.

Police had followed up on a tip-off about suspects selling human body parts. The pair were stopped in Polokwane and their vehicle searched. They were arrested for being in possession of a human head.

The pair were expected to appear in the Mahwelereng Magistrate’s Court to face murder charges.
