The Police in Masemola outside Sekhukhune have launched a manhunt for suspects responsible for the murder of a middle aged man whose body was discovered along R579 road next to Phoroane village on Monday 12 June 2023 at about 20:00.
Police were alerted about the incident by the community.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased suffered gunshot wounds to his head and stomach.
His identity is not yet known. The deceased was wearing a black Hoodie written “Rellium” at the back, khaki pants, black shoes, and a striped shirt.
Police have opened a case of murder and the motive behind is unknown at this stage. Investigation into the matter is underway and no arrest has been effected.
Police are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects or assist in identifying the deceased.
