It will still be a while before the cause of mortality of a Bela-Bela couple’s death will be determined. The couple was found dead in their home at the beginning of June.
Juane Potgieter and CJ Jansen van Vuuren were found on Saturday, June 11, at their home in Panorama Park in their bedroom. Both were found death after celebrating a joint birthday party with friends at the Bela-Bela Waterfront restaurant.
A friend found the dead couple in their bedroom the next day, with blood apparently coming out of their noses and ears.
Ao. Tommie van Blerk, the investigating officer, when questioned said that statements had been taken and blood samples were sent for tests to determine the cause of death. However, he said it could take a long time before the forensic reports will be made available.
The police, meanwhile, brought applications to expedite the forensic process, Van Blerk said.
Van Blerk said there were many rumors about how the two might have died, but until the forensic tests were not completed, no one can say with certainty how they came to their end.
Meanwhile, Juane’s funeral was on Saturday, June 18, at the NG Warmbaths western town, and Jansen van Vuuren’s funeral will take place on Saturday, July 2, in the same town.
