The 72 hour implementation plan was successful when the second suspect aged 27, was this afternoon, 25 November 2018, arrested for the business robbery that took place at Manganeng Clinic and at the local Tuck shop on 24 November 2018, at about 12h30.

The suspect aged 27, was arrested when he attempted to open a false case of car hijacking at Jane Furse police station. Preliminary police investigations soon revealed he was the driver of the vehicle whose occupants committed the two robberies.

The firearm that was allegedly robbed from the security officer who was on duty at the Clinic and the other suspects involved in these cases are still outstanding and a search operation is continuing.

Meanwhile, the first suspect who was killed during an exchange of gunfire with the police at Manganeng village, has been identified and investigations are continuing to establish if he and the other suspects could be linked to other similar cases in the area and elsewhere.

The suspect will appear in Sekhukhune magistrate court on Tuesday 27 November 2018, on charges of Business robbery.
