The police have arrested another suspect in connection with the horrific murder of Tanya Wiers (44) on February 7.

Alfred Holongwane (45) will appear in court on March 15 together with Frans Maela (25) and will probably apply for bail. The two suspects are charged with murder and robbery.

Maela lived and worked in Eduanpark, the same area where the Wiers lived. After the tragic death of Tanya, the police stated they were looking for a gardener who worked in the area, as they believed he would help with the investigation. Afterward, the police said they were no longer looking for the gardener.

Roelf (16) the son of Tanya found his mother dead at home on February 7. Tanya was savagely attacked, endured multiple stab wounds to her neck and her eyes were removed with a sharp object. Read the story – Woman murdered in Polokwane, eyes removed
