Another ‘most wanted criminal’ sought after getting bail

The SAPS Provincial Commissioner LT. General Nneke Ledwaba has established a Dedicated Task Team following a spate of business robberies especially at the petrol stations where drop safes were blown up with explosives in a number of areas in this Province.

This Task Team has already identified one member of this syndicate group, Boitumelo Daniel Aphane otherwise known as “AKA SMALL” who is believed to be hiding in places such as Pretoria CBD and Mamelodi in the Gauteng Province and Siyabuswa in the Mpumalanga Province.

He was previously arrested in connection with a cash in transit offense in Mokopane and appeared before the Mokopane Magistrate Court but he later absconded and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

He was also connected to the incidents of cash intransit robberies in the Mankweng, Seshego and Polokwane Policing areas.

He is now wanted for the business robberies which occurred recently at the petrol stations in Polokwane, Nobody in Mankweng and Tzaneen.

It is alleged that an unknown number of suspects wearing balaclavas, armed with rifles and travelling with different cars including the white BMW and Toyota Corolla attacked these petrol stations, blew the drop safes and robbed undisclosed amounts of cash.

The Police investigations in all these incidents, are still continuing.
