The Provincial Commissioner Lt General Nneke Ledwaba this morning visited the scene of Cash in transit heist that took place in the early hours of this morning, 28 May 2018, along the Matlala and Polokwane road in the Westernburg policing area.
The heavily armed suspects stormed a security vehicle transporting money and apparently shot at its wheels. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money.
Security officers who were transporting the money were taken to hospital for medical observation.
General Ledwaba was interview live on Morning live program of the SABC and made a call to community members to assist the police in proving valuable information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects.
