The Police in Hlogotlou under Sekhukhune District have arrested six suspects aged between 41 and 53 for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and possession of house breaking equipment on Sunday 19 March 2023 at about 23:55.

The police officers were busy with stop and searches during operation “National shut down” at Mpudulle Four Ways in Monsterlus when they arrested six suspects after they were found in possession of two firearms with ammunition and house breaking implements.

The suspects’ Toyota Avanza was also confiscated for further investigation.

The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has hailed the members for being vigilant at all times and stopping dangerous criminals in their tracks.

The six suspects will appear in Nebo Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 22 March 2023 facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition and possession of house breaking implements.

Police investigations are still continuing.
