As a continuous effort to ensure a safer festive season to our communities in this Province, the Festive Season joint operations composed of various Police Units, the Traffic Police and other role players were still up and running until the morning of 31 December 2017, which were conducted in various ways including roadblocks, stop and searches, patrols and tracing of wanted suspects.
In Makhado, Tzaneen, Lephalale and Giyani Clusters, the intelligence led joint operations were conducted focusing on the wanted criminals on TRIO crimes and contact crimes which led to the arrest of five suspects aged between 23 and 37 years for various offences ranging from house robberies to armed and common robberies.
During this operations various items were recovered. The operations are still continuing.
